Tara Kobitowich

Starting at age five, the dance studio has always been her second home. For 11 years, Tara danced competitively, training in jazz, lyrical, ballet, tap, hip hop, musical theatre and modern. She had the opportunity to perform in Spain and LA, compete across Alberta and BC, learn from the industry’s top choreographers in classes at the Edge Performing Arts Centre in LA and Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver and attend conventions, such as Costal Dance Rage and Triple Threat Conventions, each year. Most recently she performed in the FIFA opening ceremonies and a video shoot for Miss Brett’s dance company, Motives Dance and Fitness. She also regularly takes classes in Edmonton at Dance Code and Pique Dance Centre. As an instructor at both Sandra Gray School of Dancing and Vegreville School of Ballet, Tara has taught a wide variety of classes over the past seven years and has received various choreography awards and has led her groups to high scores and recognitions. She is passionate about passing along the knowledge she has gained over the years. Dance will always be one of the loves in her life. She is happy to be starting her seventh year with VSB and is excited for another season!

Acadia Rudyk

Hi,my name is Acadia Rudyk. I was immersed into the Vegreville School of Ballet family when I was only 3 years old. Through genres like ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and Ukrainian dance I’ve appreciated the movements and experiences they gave me as a dancer. Dancing has given me the opportunity to travel to Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, and Ukraine. My interests in travel flourished as I was able to experience countries and their culture in a different light, through dance. I am currently a student at Concordia University of Edmonton taking a Bachelor of Arts degree and plan to pursue a second degree in Education as well. I am apart of Verkhovyna’s  Ukrainian dance ensemble  Dunai.  I’ve grown up and matured with the support and encouragement from my fellow dance peers and past dance teachers. I have always looked up in admiration towards my teachers and hope to set the same example for my students. I’m looking forward to the 2019/2020  dance season.
